Professional Bio
Olivia is a second-year student in Developmental Psychology and Women’s Studies working with Dr. Dawn Witherspoon in the Context and Development Lab. She completed her bachelor's degree in psychology with minors in statistical modeling and feminist studies at Oberlin College. Olivia's research examines how culture and context shape positive youth development, focusing on identity formation and educational outcomes. She is also interested in how youth, in turn, actively shape culture and context across micro- (individual-level) and macro-level systems. Her research uses interdisciplinary methods and critical lenses (feminist, critical race theory).
