Fall 2021 Office Hours

Demet received her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Psychology from Middle East Technical University (Ankara, Turkey). She joined Social Psychology Program as a graduate student in Fall 2023 and she is working in the Gender, Power, and Privilege Lab under the mentorship of Dr. Theresa Vescio. Demet’s interest center around gender inequalities across and within cultures. She is particularly interested in consequences of gender-based discrimination, perceptions of gender-based violence, masculinities and endorsement of honor beliefs.
