Professional Bio
Briah Glover is a fifth-year doctoral candidate in the Context and Development Lab. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Howard University and Masters of Science from Penn State. Her research revolves around promoting inclusive, community-engaged research to promote positive outcomes in Black Americans. Briah currently focuses on the contextual effects (i.e., parenting and neighborhood) on Black American youth’s emotional development. More specifically, she is interested in how cultural parenting relates to the self-beliefs of Black youth, their emotion-focused coping, and variations by community and neighborhood context.
