Professional Bio

Abigail is a dual-title PhD student in Psychology and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. She received her B.A. in Psychology and her B.A. in Women's Studies from Penn State in 2022. As an undergraduate, she worked as a research assistant and lab manager for Dr. Theresa Vescio's Gender, Power, & Privilege lab, where she is continuing her graduate studies. Her research interests broadly include masculinity, prejudice, and violence, with a focus on how cultural constructions of social identities facilitate motivations to engage in status quo maintaining attitudes and behaviors.
