Professional Bio

Sumaiya is a third-year student pursuing a dual title PhD in Developmental Psychology and Social and Behavioral Neuroscience program. She is an international student from Nepal and earned her BA in Psychology with a Neuroscience minor from Ramapo College of New Jersey in 2021. Her research interests broadly lie in exploring the interactions between emotional perception, self-regulation, and facets of social cognition in autistic adolescents and emerging adults. She also enjoys learning and talking about different cultural experiences and languages.
