Junqiang is a 5th year student working with Dr. Suzy Scherf. His research examines developmental changes in face identity recognition from childhood to adulthood, primarily focusing on biases (e.g., peer, and race). He uses behavioral and neuroimaging paradigms to addresses how these changes at the behavioral and neural levels may relate to an individual’s current and/or future social adaptation. Additionally, he is interested in how these three elements (i.e., behavior, brain, and functional adaptation) may dynamically contribute to individual differences in development (e.g., typical or atypical).
