Frances Lobo is a fourth-year graduate student in the Developmental Psychology program working with Dr. Erika Lunkenheimer and Dr. Kristin Buss. She received her B. S. degree in Neuroscience and Psychology from Duke University in 2013 and spent the following three years studying self-regulation in adolescents and college students with Dr. Rick Hoyle. Her research interests include examining the parent-child relationship as a dynamic system and understanding the affective, behavioral, and physiological interaction patterns that shape the development of children's goals, school readiness, and self-regulation skills.  Additionally, she is investigating how parent, child, and family-level risk variables impact these interaction patterns and children's subsequent outcomes.
