Frances Lobo
Biography:
Frances Lobo is a fifth-year doctoral candidate in the Developmental Psychology program working with Dr. Erika Lunkenheimer and Dr. Kristin Buss. She received her B. S. degree in Neuroscience and Psychology from Duke University in 2013 and her M. S. degree in Developmental Psychology from Penn State in 2019. She is currently a Training Interdisciplinary Educational Scientists (TIES) fellow. Her research interests include examining the parent-child relationship as a dynamic system and understanding the affective, behavioral, and physiological interaction patterns that shape the development of children's psychopathology and self-regulation. Additionally, she is investigating how parent, child, and family-level risk variables impact these interaction patterns and children's subsequent outcomes.
