Graduate StudentsThe lab is currently seeking graduate students whose interests may include language acquisition, statistical learning, or primate cognition and communication. For general information about the graduate program in psychology, please go here. Incoming graduate students will have the unique opportunity to perform research on three types of populations (infants, adults, and nonhuman primates) using a variety of research methods. In addition to being part of the Cognitive Psychology program, students will be encouraged to actively participate in the Language Science Research Group (which meets weekly) comprised of researchers from many departments who share a broad interest in language.
Undergraduate StudentsIf you are an undergraduate in good standing and would like to get involved in the research involving adults, infants, and primates, contact Dan Weiss (djw21@psu.edu ). It is best to get in touch before the semester starts. Also, please let me know which aspect of the research interests you most and I will try to be accommodating. Be prepared to make a 6-10 hour per week commitment if you would like to be in the lab (this includes a one hour lab meeting once a week). Credit may be offered through an Independent Studies option.
