Transfer Students (students coming from another institution)
Transfer students who are admitted to the Psychology program should call the Psychology advising center at 814-865-9514 to schedule an appointment once they have received their initial credit evaluation from the university as well as a degree audit from the College of the Liberal Arts, and paid the $100 deposit. These sessions are typically long and involved; therefore, scheduling an appointment is necessary. We are not set up to do this intense advising during our walk-in hours. For the appointment please be sure to bring a syllabus from each course taken so that we can determine how to make the best use of the work completed so far. Students will want to review Preparing for a Advising Meeting prior to their appointment. Come with the understanding that it may take as much as one semester to have all your transfer courses in place on the psychology degree audit. If you wish to schedule a campus visit prior to accepting your offer to Penn State, please visit the Admissions website at: http://admissions.psu.edu/pennstate/visit/. This site features an online scheduling tool to set up an information session and a campus tour for a specific date. Please note this date may not be the same as your appointment with Psychology.
