Through Fall 2006, Penn State had three sets of Psychology courses: PSY, PSYC, and PSYCH. Beginning in Spring 2007, all undergraduate Psychology courses taught at all Penn State locations have the designation PSYCH. This change resulted in new numbers for most courses.
Psychology courses taken at any Penn State location or through Penn State's World Campus may be applied to the requirements of the PSYBA and PSYBS degrees. However, to earn one of these degrees at least 19 credits in Psychology (including at least 9 credits at the 400 level) must be earned at University Park.
Students wishing to apply PSYC or PSYCH courses taken Fall 2006 or earlier to the PSYBA or PSYBS requirements can find the correspondences between courses in this chart (pdf format). Please contact the Psychology Advising Center for questions about courses that do not correspond to PSY courses.
