Psychology Department
The Department of Psychology offers support to graduate students interested in recruiting underrepresented populations for research purposes. This funding was made possible by a grant from the Graduate School through the department's participation in the Ph.D Completion Project. Funding for research focusing on gender and gender-related issues (e.g., stereotyping, stigmatized groups) is available through the Carolyn Wood Sherif Fund.
Funding for international students and for study abroad is available through the Eileen and Herschel Leibowitz Fund, which provides support (a) to outstanding PSU Psychology graduate students for study abroad and (b) to outstanding graduate students from other nations who are enrolled as graduate students at the University.

Funding for research involving underrepresented populations is also available at the faculty level.

Research funding opportunities are available on campus, such as opportunities within the Africana Research Center.
Organizations
Both the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Big Ten’s Committee on Institutional Cooperation offer research and travel support.
