DAWG in Action
The Diversity Action WorkGroup has worked hard at building a sense of community for people of diverse backgrounds and to improve the atmosphere around diversity issues in general. DAWG has sponsored several successful events including:
-
A potluck dinner where dishes
representing the diverse cultural,
ethnic, and family backgrounds of
many of our graduate students were
served and enjoyed by all
- Dinner for Six, where smaller groups of
individuals enjoyed a more intimate
dining experience and stimulating
conversation around diversity issues
- Beginning of the year BBQ picnic for incoming students to connect with other students as early as possible
