Our Commitment To Diversity
As reflected in Psychology Department Statement on Diversity, we are committed to enhancing research and education on multicultural, crosscultural and intergroup relationships, and to training students to teach and serve individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences. We endeavor to create a departmental climate conducive to respecting differences in background and life experiences, and one that enhances multicultural awareness. Our commitment to diversity is reflected throughout the department from the students, staff, and faculty to the highest levels in the department's administration.
The Diversity-Related Research page includes a sample of some current diversity-related projects being conducted by faculty members in the department. Additionally, a listing of some ongoing graduate student research projects featuring diverse populations can be found on the Graduate Student Diversity Research page. Please see our faculty listing for other faculty members whose research relates to diversity issues.
BRIDGE is a diversity action alliance consisting of faculty members and graduate students in the Department of Psychology who are interested in promoting and addressing diversity-related issues within our program community.
