Additional requirements for the graduate major in Developmental psychology are listed below.
1. The department requires 18 total credits in the major, including research
credits.
2. In addition to research credits appropriate to the student's major
interest, each student should include at least the following:
A. Fundamentals of Social Development
B. Fundamental of Cognitive Development
C. One Child Development Seminar, PSY 529, offered by the developmental area faculty.
D. One additional 500-level course, in advanced statistics beyond the departmental requirements, developmental theory, or developmental methods (e.g. PSY 536)
3. Regular participation in non-credit developmental area brown bags, colloquia, and related events.
