Welcome

The Psychology Department at Penn State's University Park campus is part of the College of the Liberal Arts. The Psychology Department includes more than 40 full-time faculty members and more than 100 graduate students. Facilities include the Psychological Clinic, the Child Study Center, and numerous research laboratories. We conduct research and offer courses in many areas of psychology. This web site provides an overview of the Psychology Department, our people, and our programs.

Child Study Center
The CSC houses higher education classrooms, research facilities, and prevention and treatment programs.

Psychological Clinic
The Psychological Clinic at Penn State provides psychological services, trains graduate students in clinical psychology, and conducts state-of-the-art research.

Center for Language Science
The Center for Language Science, is an interdisciplinary group of linguists, psycholinguists, applied linguists, speech-language pathologists, speech scientists, and cognitive neuroscientists who share an interest in language acquisition and bilingualism.

International Center for the Study of Terrorism
The Center is dedicated to studying the
global threat of terrorism and minimizing its impact on society.

Diversity in Penn State Psychology
The Penn State Psychology Department is committed to diversity in research, teaching, and graduate training.

Specialization in Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience (SCAN)
Graduate students in any of our Ph.D. programs may specialize in Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience.
