When developing budgets for your proposals, you need to work with the Liberal Arts Grants and Contracts Office because they can verify that the proper rates and salary and stipend amounts are being used. However, below are some tools that may be helpful in your correspondence with the grants office.
Budget Building Worksheets - Use this worksheet to plan your project needs and develop rough estimates. Then email your worksheet to Trish Alexander in the Liberal Arts Grants and Contracts Office and she will coordinate the development of the proposal budget.

Please Note: If you use the PDF version of the worksheet, make sure that you are using Adobe Acrobat Professional software (not Reader). Only Acrobat Professional will allow you to save content that you have typed into the form.
Budget Spreadsheet - Use this speadsheet if you want to play around with some numbers for your budget. Then email your spreadsheet to Trish Alexander in the Liberal Arts Grants and Contracts Office and she will coordinate the development of the final budget.

Please Note: All budgets must be developed in collaboration with the Liberal Arts Grants and Contracts Office. They will need to develop the final version of the proposal budget.
Budget Justifications - Each budget will need a justification. Below are three templates from which a budget justification can be written. Also included are three sample justifications.
